Composing a poster.

HPL has a HP 3800CP printer capable of producing wide format printing (posters).  Maximum width is 54 inches.  The length may be up to 10 feet.

Use a graphical design program such as Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator for composing your layout.  Microsoft Power Point is no longer an acceptable format.

Poster style is a personal preference, but a few suggestions.....use type large enough for veiwers to see--16 to 18 pts-- and use fonts that are crisp--Arial or Futura -- for titles.  If you have lots of text, think about shading the area behind the text to provide some color.  Lay out your ideas on paper and make sure there is a flow pattern to your presentation.  Use graphs and illustrations as much as possible.  Graphs may be in *.ps, *.eps, *.gif, and *.jpg format.  Open these files in either Photoshop or Illustrator and cut and paste to your layout.

Current pricing for posters is $5.00 per square foot most media. We also have laminating capabilities (with or without foam core backing). Lamination with foam core backing is an additional $5.00 per square foot. Lamination without foam backing is $3.00 additional per sq. ft. Call Anne Willey (8283) for sizes.

The following are examples of some posters in pdf format.
