Lodging arrangements are being developed and will include use of HPL housing (dormitory rooms), motels, and local homes.

 

By Train

Amtrak to New Carrolton (1.5 hrs from HPL) or Wilmington, DE (2.25 hrs from HPL.  No rental car facilities.

Need for a car

The workshop will attempt to accommodate participants’ transportation needs to and from the airport and while at HPL.   However, it may not be possible to accommodate everyone’s schedule as we will be coordinating upwards of 45-50 visitors.  Most participants will be lodged off campus approx. 5 miles (8 km) away and there are no public facilities (shopping etc) within walking distance of the lab.  We recommend (and would appreciate) transportation assistance from people driving to the workshop.  Car rentals from BWI for the duration of the workshop start at ca. $220.
